Revolutionary Public Service Claims of Louisa

Chisholm Published by Expert Graphics, Richmond, Virginia, 1976 96 pages, indexed, paperback During the Revolutionary War, patriotic Louisans provided food and supplies to the war effort. The Virginia legislature granted citizens the right to be reimbursed for such services that they rendered to support the war effort. These files were kept by the County Clerk and they list Louisans who filed claims to be reimbursed for goods or services they provided to the Continental troops. These records were transcribed by Claudia A. Chisholm as a resource to genealogists. Note - Some items have cosmetic defects due to age.
